Introducing our daughter, Arianna

I know this post is long overdue, but, as one can imagine, my wife and I have had our hands full following the arrival of our daughter, Arianna Nicole.

Arianna was born on December 1st, at 07:37PM following a two-day stint in the maternity wing of the hospital. She was already a week late when we decided to have an induction. Even after a day worth of labor-inducing medication, Arianna still wasn’t ready to leave the comfortable environment my wife was providing for her. The second day, the doctor’s threw everything they had at her, and eventually coaxed her to come out. After two hours of pushing, the little trouble maker finally made her debut. She weighed 9 lbs. 9 oz. and was 23 inches long – I think Jamie deserves a medal for delivering her the old fashion way.

Both mother and baby are doing great, and we even survived our first go-around at the Christmas holiday with a new born! Overall, things are going fairly smoothly. Jamie and I are slowly finding our way through parenthood, learning what works and what doesn’t for us and our newest addition. It’s been a great ride so far, and we’re both looking forward to what parenthood has to offer, which I hope includes more sleep at some point…
