Many of us make resolutions for the new year, and I’m no exception. So here are a few things I’m planning on doing in 2011:

1. Get into shape!
I’ve been exercising fairly regularly over the last two years, and I’ve made some changes to how I eat, but I have yet to get to the point where I’m happy with my physique. Many of you are aware that I took a crack at the P90x program last year. But, as I posted when I finished it, I didn’t follow the program’s schedule and I didn’t follow the nutrition plan at all. However, I did make some good progress in building muscle and strength, so I’ve decided to give the program another try. Only this time, I’m committed to sticking with the schedule and following the nutrition plan. I’m already into my second week, and so far so good! While Jamie will be doing her own exercise routine, she’s following the nutrition plan right along with me, so that’s a big help. We’ll see how things end up in 90 days.

2. Grad School
After years of going back and forth, I’ve finally decided to go back to school. I had been debating the usefulness to my job and my personal motivation for doing it, but after mulling it over, the answer is clear. A graduate degree can only help with my career development. And since I finally found a program that interests me, I decided to take the plunge. So, in just a few weeks, I’ll be starting graduate studies through Stevens Institute of Technology, working toward a Masters in Systems Engineering. The program is conducted entirely online, and I’m hoping to have it completed in three years.

3. Get back to my hobbies
As this website was originally built to showcase my personal interests, I feel I’ve kind of gotten away from them in the last year or two. With a newborn, work, and now school, my spare time will be minimal, but I intend on using it to work on my drawing, build more props/models, and continue my piano studies. So look forward to more digital art, more props and models, and maybe even a recording of me behind the keys.

And with all of that, we also have Arianna to keep us busy. I know Jamie and I are both looking forward to the year and what it has to bring. We intend on making the most of it, and hopefully making some improvements in our lives.

So, what are you going to do?

It’s hard to believe 2010 has come and gone, but nevertheless, here we are, and it’s 2011.
