New York City

To wrap up our three-week vacation last weekend, Jamie and I had a pretty busy couple of days.

Saturday was the annual Hollins Summer Picnic. We had a good time at Aunt Barb and Uncle Fenn’s, hanging out in the pool and grilling some tasty food.

Sunday, Jamie and I went to New York City to see the musical, Wicked. I thought it was a pretty good take on The Wizard of Oz story. We also enjoyed a nice dinner at a French restaraunt, courtesy of my parents.

I always enjoy going to NYC. I’m just happy I don’t have to live there…just too busy for me.

This week was back to work! Luckily, it was a short week and not too eventful.

I took advantage of my off-Friday to sneak in a round of golf. I played at Mercer Oaks with my dad and my friend, Mike, from work. Considering I haven’t played in over a month, I played pretty well. My front-nine wasn’t all that great, but I had a great back-nine. I ended up shooting a 101, which was just two strokes short of my goal of breaking 100, so I’m almost there!

I also restarted P90x since I was out of the loop for almost three weeks. It’s still kicking my ass, but I’m hanging in there! Only 85 days to go…
