Elton John & Billy Joel
Last weekend I fullfilled one of my lifetime dreams by getting to see Elton John in concert. As a huge fan of the piano, Elton John has always been one of my favorite musicians, and I feared I’d never get the chance to see him live. When he and Billy Joel announced another “Face to Face” tour, I was excited to hear they were performing in Philadelphia, but quickly became disappointed when I realized I was scheduled to be away on a work trip at the time.
As fate would have it, my business trip was postponed, and I managed to score some last-minute tickets. So Jamie, my parents, and I were off to Citizens Bank Park!
We had some really great seats, and Elton John’s show was fantastic! (Billy Joel did ok too.) We all had a fantastic time, despite the heat and humidity. Those guys played for over three hours! Class acts all the way!
Yesterday we had our company golf outing, which also served as a fund raiser for the Mary Kate Memorial Foundation. We raised almost $7000!
And I’m still going with P90x. I had to restart the program after my three-week vacation, but I’m almost done with week 2! Tony Horton is still kicking my ass, but I’m definitely starting some improvement. Only 13 weeks to go…ugh.
