As you’ve no doubt have noticed, I’ve been somewhat absent from my website over the last year or so. Well, it was a pretty hectic time for me and my family, which required my attention be focused on other things.
First, Jamie and I we’re fortunate enough to welcome our second child into the world! Our son, Alexander, was born last January, and he’s been keeping us on our toes ever since!
Second, a career opportunity for me arose, which ultimately resulted in Jamie and I relocating to Colorado. In turn, we spent the first half of 2013 preparing and selling our home in New Jersey while also finding a new residence in Colorado. It was an incredibly hectic and challenging time for us, but through the support from our friends and family, we were able to successfully make the move to The Centennial State! And we are loving it so far!
And in the midst of all that, I was also taking graduate school courses in pursuit of my Masters degree. This year, I had two courses to complete in addition to my Masters project. And I am happy to report I was able to pass both classes and complete my project, which means my Masters degree is now done!
So throw grad school on top of everything else we had going on, and I’m sure you can see why I haven’t had much time to update my website.
But the good news is all that’s over, and I’m looking forward to getting back to my website along with finishing some long overdue prop and model projects! For this year, you can expect to see some great additions to the site including:
- A total facelift including new graphics, a new color palette, and some tidying up of the overall layout. I’m also working on a new logo.
- Pages for each piece of my prop and model collection. Over the course of the year, I plan on documenting each piece of my collection, so look forward to seeing those showcased on my website!
- Updates to my projects! Yes, I will finally be getting back to building props, models, and a few costumes so count on more updates as the year progresses!
- Videos! I plan on adding some video content as well including updates to my projects, tutorials, and reviews of pieces I have or add to my collection.
But before all that can start, I need to set up my workshop and display room, which I am currently in the process of doing. So stay tuned as I update that effort!
Needless to say, I am very happy to be done with school and our relocation, and I can’t wait to see what 2014 has to offer! My family and I are very excited to start exploring Colorado, getting outside, and being more active, all of which I plan on sharing on the site here! In addition to that, look forward to seeing more about my props/models/costumes!
I am very excited as to what lies ahead, and I think it’s going to be a great year!
