Being a San Francisco 49ers fan isn’t easy when you live on the east coast, so when I’m out in Sunnyvale, I try to do my best to make it to a game. As this is my first trip out to Sunnyvale in almost a year, I questioned whether I should go to a game this go-around. But when I heard they were retiring Steve Young’s jersey, I had to go. The ceremony was brief, but nostalgic. The Niners put up a great fight against the Patriots, but ultimately lost 30-21. Still, the weather was great, the game was exciting, and I got to see some of my favorite players in the field in person. Steve Young, Jerry Rice, and a handful of others were there. All in all, a good time.
